The Launch

The Early Years project was launched on 3rd March 2006 and was attended by the participants and their families. The Mayor of Derry, Councillor Lyn Fleming was present at the launch. Staff from both Longtower Nursery and Primary school and Foyle Daycare were also present. Representatives from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and The Verbal Arts Centre were also present. The digital stories were showcased at the launch, and are available now on this site as a model of practice for other similar projects. All participants received a certificate of participation and the local press took photographs of them.
